Stimson has a rich history of leadership development and building service skills. This men's only residence hall is a place for residents to make lifelong friendships and find their niche at WSU. It has one of the highest retention of residents, who find community and help mentor other students.

• What common spaces are available?

  • There are two study lounges in the hall
  • There is one kitchen in the basement with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and sink.
  • Stimson has a pool table, one weight room, ping pong table, and TV lounge with big screen TV.

• What laundry facilities are available?

  There is a laundry room with five front-loading washing machines and six dryers. The price is included in hall fees.

• Is this hall accessible?

  There are several wheelchair or hearing accessible rooms.

• Is there additional storage available?

  • There is a bike storage room in which 20-30 bikes can be stored.
  • Storage is available in a small basement room off the corridor leading the loading dock.

• What are the furniture specifications?

  Beds

  • Bed frames are 84" L by 40" W.
  • Mattresses are 80" L by 36" W. Sheets with deep pockets are advisable.

  Wardrobe/Dresser

  • Each wardrobe has a mirror.

  Desks

  • Each desk measures 47½"W by 23¾"D and includes four drawers.

• What are room specifications?

  • Each room has an average of four outlets.
  • You may bring your own furniture, but WSU furniture should remain in the room.
  • Rooms are carpeted.
  • You may not bring a microwave
  • You may bring a mini-fridge

• What is my mailing address?

  Pick up regular mail in Stimson Hall. Pick up packages at the Gannon/Goldsworthy Area Desk.

• What can I use to hang things on my walls?

  In Stimson please use the push pins we distribute during move-in.  Please do not use 3M mounting products, double-sided mounting products, permanent mounting products, blue mounting putty, masking tape, or duct tape.
